SSL Certificate Lifetimes Are Getting Shorter

Publicly trusted TLS/SSL certificates are currently limited to 200 days. Beginning March 15, 2027, newly issued certificates will be limited to 100 days, followed by a 47-day maximum beginning March 15, 2029.

What this means: shorter certificate lifetimes do not prevent you from purchasing a longer SSL service term. Instead, the certificate installed on your server must be reissued more frequently during that term. Automated renewal and deployment will become increasingly important.
